What you will do in this role 🧐

You will be working in the API enablement team as part of the Platform domain. Your role will be crucial in developing API standards as defined by API architects to help guide feature teams in following best practices. In addition you will be part of the team responsible for maintenance and configuration of API developer portal as an offering towards feature teams. Our code base has a high test coverage, we apply continuous integration and we love to automate stuff to squeeze out manual steps in our process.

 

Our perfect match has/is: 💗

• good oral and written skills, a considerable amount of time spent over documentation, standards and guidelines.
• strong with APIs and the development process (obviously).
• Understands the importance of API consistency
• Understands the importance of API design and documentation
• Python, Docker and shell scripting experience (we heavily rely on those and Gitlab CI/CD for our tooling and automation)
• strong skills with (Gitlab) CI/CD and automation
• strong understanding of the OpenAPI specification
• strong knowledge of REST API best practices
• Evangelist / Devrel skills (he will be responsible for the ongoing efforts of “preaching” the importance of API first)

Nice to have:🤩

• up to date with technology and especially API trends
• understanding the importance of virtual/mock APIs
• API testing (QAs are responsible, but API enablement is the initiator of the project, additionally we assist with some of the more complex problems QAs discover while moving forward the initiative)
• VueJS and FrontEnd development experience
• Familiar with Django / FastAPI / Pydantic / Locust (those are frameworks used within Sendcloud)

This position is open to worldwide candidates. We offer (in-house) relocation assistance, which will make sure that you have a smooth relocation process. 🏠
